Quasar Wing - The Policy and Diplomacy Wing Quasar is an administrative wing. It's led by the Weyrleader and Weyrwoman, both acting as Wingleader to a certain extent - though each pair generally develops a division of labor that suits them, and each takes authority over some tasks. The wing includes the Weyrseconds and Junior Weyrwomen and those other riders who help administer the Weyr and represent it to the rest of Pern. They may also take roles to aid other wings when needed. The Steward and Headwoman or other senior staff are sometimes considered part of this wing despite not having dragons.

Galaxy Wing - The Search and Rescue Wing Galaxy is Search and Rescue and this is the wing who is expected to handle most emergencies and to extend help to those who look to Xanadu for protection. They are the first to respond in most situations, and generally have other skills which make them well prepared for whatever challenges they may encounter. For more on what Galaxy Wing does go here.

Comet Wing - The Transport and Delivery Wing Comet is the Transport and Messenger wing, responsible for the delivery of both packets/letters and passengers. Because of their interactions with widespread areas, many riders possess large amounts of tact and diplomacy, though not all which at times may lead to conflicts. Pulsar Wing - Weyrling Training Wing Pulsar is the Weyrling wing, where all new riders are assigned until they graduate from weyrlinghood. The Weyrlingmaster and his/her assistants are a permanent part of this wing as well. Older Weyrlings are usually assigned to 'elevator' duty, ferrying people, goods and messages up and down from ledges in the cliff. For more on what Pulsar Wing does go here. Candidates, while not technically a part of the wing, still tend to fall under the guidance of the AWLMs. The sooner their education can start, the better!

Asteroid Wing - The Crafter Wing Asteroid wing is the Craft wing, for both riders and nonriders practicing a craft at the weyr. Any rider is allowed to join the craft wing, to do their weyr duties through crafter activity rather then another form. For more on what Asteroid Wing does go here.

Meteor Wing - The Recuperation and Retirement Wing With the Dragonhealing Annex at Xanadu, it's no wonder there's more than the usual number of injured dragons recuperating here. That's why there's an entire wing for them, as well as those dragonriders who've retired but still stick around.
