Description
Wild blonde hair falls from a widow's peak on this teenager's gently slopped forehead and it continues to cascade down in loose curls to the center of her back. Her hair seldom fails to frame her soft but slender oval face, hiding much of the definition of her cheekbones. Yet through the waves of hair, her face does not lack the appeal her hair tries to hide. Her cheekbones are quiet but her smile is bold, with upper and bottom lip being similarly full and lush, set above an angular chin. Her nose is rather dainty and small, with the bridge narrow, giving the impression that her eyes are set wide, which, perhaps they are in general. Her eyes are dusted lightly in a greenish hue of hazel and play host to a set of dark blonde brows cast low over them.
Her growing figure has started to change from one of childhood to one of adulthood, though is stuck perpetually between. She has a narrow waist with skinny arms and legs, while her hips have transformed and established a slight curve that lowers to her thighs and her bosom is apparent, just in a barely there sort of way. The girl tends to wear comfortable clothes. A blouse of pale, turquoise cotton with loose sleeves and a neckline that leaves most of her shoulders bare. She tends to stick to shorts for the better part of her time, but can often be seen in skirts and rarely in trousers unless she's being put to work. Currently she's wearing tight mid-thigh shorts, dark blue in color. Her feet are generally in sandals or easy slip-on loafers, keeping it casual. She wears feather earrings, beaded bracelets and strings of beaded necklaces with wooden carved charms for pendants.
History
Another head shaker… Right? Zaala was product of the infamous L'ton as he seduced and woed a Xanadian bluerider named Laera. The record books have it somewhere, don't they? It could've been a flight, it could've been just smooth talking, but the end result is a same. ANOTHER ONE! She was, in a way, just another one. Another Weyrbrat taken to be raised by nannies at both her father and mother's Weyrs. She did spend time with her mother more than her father, just because her father had crazy obligations and about a billion other kids to learn the names of. In truth, even her mother, Laera, was a bit standoffish in the way she took part in Zaala's life. Laera was more a friend than a mother, or maybe acted how an aunt would - smiles and hugs and all the good parts about parenting. It was the nannies who were her true mother and where she learned discipline from, after a couple spoon whacks to the bottom.
Yet, it was a good life. She didn't have to work very hard for anything. If she really wanted something special above the means that the Weyr could provide, she went to her father or her mother. Sometimes she would win, sometimes not. It really depended on what she needed or wanted. She had friends and became part of the weyrbrat group. She had laughs, tears, and threw things in anger, like most do. She's never really been reminsce for something she didn't know was different. She had her parents, her step-parents, half-siblings, and the rest of the Weyr to keep her company.
The only daunting thing in life was finding herself suddenly being fourteen Turns old and without a direction! In the day and age when there are journeymen walking around at sixteen Turns, she was behind and a little frantic for it. Ahh, the day in the life of a teenager! At least she's trying to help and has taken to being a seamstress - definitely not a glam job, but something that will satisify the Weyr's expectations.
