Description
Long muscular arms seem out of place on this otherwise plain looking young man. His body is fairly well toned and sunkissed in color, but for the small pale lines of scars scattered across his flesh. His face, rather plain in shape, seems almost too young for him, his gray eyes youthful and curiously calm. His dark brown hair, falling just short of shoulder length, is suprisingly fine and soft. A plain white robe is draped over his body, a knot in purple, blue-green and black marking him a Candidate for the Western Weyr.
History
Born and raised in the Black Rock Hold, it wasn't long before people began to notice that Pike was a peculiar boy. The second born of three sons, he was often overlooked as a child, if not neglected. Son to a miner, Pike was expected to follow his father and brother into the field, and despite his slightly less then masculine tendencies, he was good at the work. For several Turns he worked alongside his family, until his father discovered the ture nature of his middle child. For fear of his father and to avoid disgrace, he left the hold in which he was born, stealing away in the middle of the night. After weeks of holdless living, Pike took shelter in the saftey of Xanadu Weyr. There he took up work in the lower caverns, where his years of hard labor in the mines serves him well.
