In the summer of turn 2682, Xanadu Weyr and the surrounding areas experienced a serious drought. For over four months no measurable rainfall occured. Then, a flaming exercise went wrong, setting fire to the forest and plains surrounding the Weyr. After two days of intense firefighting, torrential rainfall began and finally extinguished the flames. But the fire had already struck down two healers, Tenebrous and Phylicia, and in turn impacted several more residents of Xanadu Weyr. As the rains continued, flooding ensued, and the Weyr scrambled to protect itself. After nearly a month of steady rain, it finally ceased, and the Weyr began recovering from drought, fire and flood.
