Xanadu Weyr - Beach
The unerring range of subdued white rises and falls in a multitude of sandy dunes, creating an endless amount of tiny valleys constantly demolished and rebuilt by the frequent arrival or departure of a dragon. Smoothing out as it slopes gently to the edge of the deep blue water, the sand darkens and a shell here and there stands out for children to collect. The beach itself is set along a low cliff - the height lessoning as one heads eastwards, blocking a portion of the beach from direct access.
The wide wide stretch of water opens up to the east, the far distant shore way beyond the horizon and the beach curves ever so slowly round to east and west, distant arms of land embracing the wind-ruffled Caspian Lake. East leads up to the mouth of the Rubicon River, where the protecting cliff is merely an arms length higher then the sand, and beyond that, a winding road leading out of Xanadu's territory. Westwards, the beach narrows as the cliff swings out, leaving a path wide enough for dragons in single file before cutting in to the sheltered cove designated the Weyrling Beach. However, cut in the cliff face to the north are a variety of rough, wide staircases, providing access to the clearing and to the meadow.

The weather is fair this early afternoon at Xanadu, and naturally it gives reason for many to be outside. But with a brisk wind, few are as dressed down as T'eo, who's actually in -shorts!- His argument? Well, you ask him. He sits curled around by his giant copper mountain who acts as a windbreaker, basking in the sun and unaffected by the wind. Another oddity, especially for the wind, T'eo's hair is down… Loose, the faint cuff of breeze that bounces over Raenth's brilliant hide catches some strands and attempts to drag them off into the unknown. T'eo pulls one out of his face, which is pointed down at a journal in his lap, and tuck it behind his ear, before resuming his scribbled handwriting.
Even in the brisk wind, M'iri is not afraid of a dress-down, either, though possibly more dressed then T'eo is, the bluerider comes down the sloping sand in a bikini top and cotton pants. Following closely behind is the great lumber blue beast she is besotted to, eyes slowly whirling a blue color, tinged with the purple of worry. "I'm /fine/, Kieranth… I assure you, I'm not gonna turn into a big lop of goo from emotional stress." The bluerider rolls her eyes, halting just a second as she sees a bito f the crowding on the beach, and bronze Raenth. "Enjoying the sun, while it lasts, bronzerider?" Miir asks, stepping pu next to Raenth and looking over at T'eo. Grey-blue eyes switch from T'eo to the water and sunset, a slow sigh pushing out from her lips. "C'mon, Kieranth… Stop moping over me and get in the water, before you start stinking like wher." Kieranth suddenly plops down behind Miir, causing her to turn and glare at her beast.
With nothing better to do on such a nice day, it's no suprise that Dulacth backwings and lands on the beach. Oddly enough he is wearing his straps, but not Senkyou who jogs from the clearing shaking her head and saying, "I would have been fine riding over here!" Spotting T'eo and M'iri she takes the arguement to just mutters, giving a wave and walking over the sand. Senk is dressed down lightly, though it is just shorts and a sleeveless t-shirt, nothing revealing. Walking with a definite stomp to her dragon and starts to remove his straps.
"Moping and Kieranth…" T'eo remarks, finishing a sentence before looking up. He pushes back a few more rebellious strands of hair as he looks to M'iri. "Now those are two words I don't expect to hear together. Well, unless it's someone moping about what he's done." A vague smirk follows this comment, but it's just a halfhearted tease. "Yes…" He confirms, closing the journal with a snap of it's leather covered wooden binding- such a satisfying sound. "…and regretting not being on deck. This would be such a nice day to sail." Raenth swivels his head in the sand to view Kieranth. Whether this is because he doesn't feel safe with his back to his clutch sibling or simple curiousity, none can tell at the moment. The annoyed and familiar voice of a certain OTHER wingleader catches T'eo's ears and he peers over Raenth's neck, behind M'iri, to Senkyou… another smirk… and wave.
M'iri notes the arrival of Senkyou, as well, lifting a hand lightly to the brownrider. Thoug hweather she sees it or not while pulling off straps, Miir is none to sure, but either way, she doesn't seem to attempt to catch futher attention to herself. T'eo is given a slight smirk at his remark, shrugging her shoulders a bit as a sobering look comes over her face. "He

T'eo is given a slight smirk at his remark, shrugging her shoulders a bit as a sobering look comes over her face. "He's moping over me, horrid blue of mine can feel my… problem, though he surely can't remember." She glaringly looks at Kieranth, pointing fiercely at the water before the blue dragon finally gets off his haunches and walks towards the sea. In passing, a greeting it given to Raenth with slow bubbly lair of blood of the mind. Before it suddenly collapses into a blood-yellow bubble and pops. M'iri takes her own moment to watch the midnight blue, before plopping herself down right where she stands. "Raenth makes a good deck, does he not? And atleast thats one boat that will listen without having to run about," Miir peers at Raenth. "Maybe." Senkyou is earned another look again, the bluerider waiting for her to come this way…
Senkyou unhooks the browns straps with a huff, slapping his neck and giving the brown a push, as if she could shove him into the water. Kieranth recieves a very high eyebrow arch from Senkyou, walking over to T'eo and M'iri she wave, her eyes watching Dulacth as he is moving very slowly towards the water. The brown gives a very proud rumble to all, his mind waving with green and red banners it tainted with cinnamon as if he where greeting someone at his castle gates. "I thought you'd be at sea by now T'eo?" Having missed the earlier bit of conversation when messing with Dulacth, "And M'iri as well, glad to see Dulacth and Kieranth have a chance to meet."
T'eo gives a frown, leaning back against Raenth's sun warmed hide. The brilliance of it seems to be like a living fire against his back, enhancing T'eo's already ambery eyes which gaze at Miir in concern. "Problem?" Not that he wants to be pesky, but, well, she is his clutchmate, even as the turns have passed. Raenth meanwhile gives a rustle of his wings and drifts out a curious greeting of sunkissed liquid brass, which splashes into Kieranth's mind with the scent of cinnamon brandy. He doesn't seem to notice M'iri's calling him a ship. This normally would have caused for a grumble, evident as T'eo shoots a look at the Bronze's distracted face. Senkyou approaches and T'eo half smiles cordially. "Ah, hm… I was just discussing that. I'm here for a bit. Some fuss with paperwork before we can leave port. I need to discuss it with Niva if I don't hear anything by tomorrow. As for Raenth…" Who rumbles to Dulacth before returning to his lifemate's mind. Yes? Heh… "I'm sure he'd agree he doesn't much like being a ship… and he's not one." Yes. "It's like… Well, like the wind and the sails… it's…" He sighs. "I can't really… er… explain it." He conceeds.
Kieranth turns towards the brown coming to the water, and an unwarrented spit of blood eschews from Kieranth's mind into Dulacth's. Apparently, worry makes him more anti-social then he already is. M'iri is listening to the comments made between Senkyou and T'eo light, before frowning a little. "I'm sorry you got stalled, T'eo… As you said, today is a perfect day for it." Her suddenly amused eyes flick to T'eo's loose hair, and a willowy finger lifts from her lap to point at it. "Apparently you enjoy the breeze, though. I'm surprised you haven't eatten it, yet." She laughs a little, though the laugh is dry, as she turns towards the ocean. "It's… Eh," M'iri looks down at her hands, fumbling with them while she continues. "Well, you should know! Kinda… It's S'ver. I miss him." Another sigh, and the bluerideri s suddenly on her feet again, walking towards the water's edge, grinning just lightly at Senk as she goes, "Believe me, don't expect a warm welcome from Kieranth. He's not that type of dragon."
The spit of blood brings up mental defenses, the welcoming mind becomes one prepared for battle and ready to defend his lady, Raenths mind seems to get a gentler amount but overall discontent comes from the brown, his greens now dark grays and powerful impact may be felt. Senkyou is distracted by Kieranth, she blinks and frowns "Well that was different." Remarking before asking T'eo, "Do you think you'll be off soon? I'm never sure how long our weather will stay agreeable, hate for you to miss your window." Raenth is given a long look, and senk smiles a bit at the bronze. Watching M'iri and T'eo she smirks, and shakes her head at M'iri's explanation of Kieranths behaviour, "Apparently, I expect Dulacth to act appropriately."
T'eo looks sideways at his hair when it's pointed out. For laughs he takes it into his lips, giving Miir a goofy smile with it, before releasing it and tucking it back again. "I guess I've not had my mouth open often enough till now." He watches her discomfort, however, and his brows furrow again until she explains. Mm… yes. His face suddenly looks heavy, aged as he is, and worn as if he were the very Sea Master himself. But M'iri has moved off towards the waters. Nudge. A bronze elbow hits him in the side as Raenth moves a forearm not-too-subtly. Glare! "Yes… I should. Like I said… if not I'll have to talk to Niva." It's a concern he's trying not to add to other problems at the moment. Raenth observes his two fellows with a rumble, brandy slipping forward into Kieranth's mind particularly. « Mine hurts with yours. » He observes.
M'iri is taking note of T'eo's look, even with a bronze dragon poking him, she suddenly steps over again and leans down infront of T'eo. The bluerider does the unimaginable for her, being as timid as she is, and gives T'eo a swift hug. "Don't let it drag ya down, Matt," The name is used almsot as if they're in candiacy again, and are worried over if their one dragon happens to be on the sand. "Your a great guy, and anyone can see that." She gives a swift smile, then a horribly deep blush as she looks in Senkyou's direction and suddenly pulls back. "Kieranth! Wait up, pull me in!" The bluerider suddenly dashes away towards the water, grabbing Kieranth's tail and floating into deeper waters.
