Xanadu Weyr - Clearing
A wide clearing stretches from east to west, the ground packed hard although grass grows across most of it. Trees are strictly forbidden in this space, their danger to the constant draconic traffic reason enough to banish them to the forest that creates a border to the north. Where the ground is less trampled, tiny flowers poke their delicate heads out from their shaded hiding places.

The cliff looms imposingly on three sides, stretching upwards all the way up the side of the rock edifice where, high above on Xanadu's Star Stones, the ever-present watchdragon sits on the lonely peak. Directly south is the hatching arena, the large round complex taking up a large portion of the perimeter, a line of trees visible beyond it. Southeast are wide steps leading up to the caverns and eastwards is the large entrance to the Infirmary. Somewhat north of the infirmary is a human-sized archway that has a frequent quantity of traffic — it leads to the Wandering Wherry Tavern. Tucked neatly under the arch, to one side is a tiny wood-frame shop bearing the name 'Petals and Pots Garden Shop'. Southwest lies cliffs where windows for the administrative offices have been cut. Underneath them are the entrances to the crafters complex while north and west along the cliff's base, a broad path leads to the feeding grounds. Due north is the spacious trail that leads to the rest of the Weyr - the meadow, the forest beyond. At the far edge of the clearing, beside the trail leading to the forest sits a clocktower.

Today has not been a good day for for Kera, thus noted by the bandaged fingers of her left hand. Her normally very clean appearance is no where to be seen today. Nope. She covered in purple paint smudges as she works at painting the three crates she was told to make. Painting, well, that's just cause she felt like brightening them up a bit. Swiping her cheek with the back of her wrist, she ends up with yet another smudge. Minimur is perched on a tool case near his healer. "What do ya think Mini. Will the Headwoman like the colorful touches?" With a grin, she dabs at a spot she missed.

There is a green dragon sweeping down towards the clearing, a soft warble escaping Tahryth as she lands with a slight hoping steps. Her wings fluttering a few times before folding at her sides and she lowers her long neck, eyes a swirl while she takes in the area, catching sight of the painting person curiously. Idrissa hops down once getting straps off, a bag is pulled down filled with mail perhaps from the looks of a few letters sticking out from said bag. "Try not to get into any trouble.. I don't want to have to apologize to people around home as well Tahryth.." The green warbles and tilts her head not seeming to think she did anything wrong.

Dipping the brush in the paint, Kera continues her punishment, well she's past the punishment bit now that the crates are actually made. Minimur chitters his approval over Kera's work and flutters up to land on one of the painted boxes before the young healer can stop him. "Minimur, you did that on purpose. Look what you did." She sighs and points to the lizard paw prints trailing behind the young brown Dropping the brush she lifts Minimur up and examines his paws "Well, we both will need to scrub good later." Glancing up as a dragon wings in for a landing, it's a minute or so before she recognizes Idrissa. She gives the rider a wiggle of her fingers in greeting "G'day Idrissa."

Idrissa glances up at her name, a curious look is given to Kera along with a smile and nod. "Hello Kera.. Ah.." There is a pause while she wanders on over to peer curiously at the other. "What are you two doing?.." She is curious that's for sure, and if she is curious that means Tahryth is as well. The green dragon moves on over and snuffles out at the crate that is covered in wet paint.. Oh dear..

"Careful, that's still wet." She tries to warn the dragon with a wave of her bandaged fingers as she gets close to the wet crate. Peering to Idrissa, she holds Minimur so his wet feet does'n't smear on anything. "Well, I had to make these..boxes. And they annoyed me so much making them that I decided to add my own little touch by painting them Healer purple." She giggles and gives a little shrug. Minimur, still clutched in Kera right armed grasp, is craning his knobby head to peer at the bottom of his feet. He chitters in delight and waves his bright purple paws for everyone to see and admire. "And this one here thinks he's in charge, but he's really just leaving his mark." She winks and gestures wraped fingers towards the crate that has a trail of lizard prints. "Do you think I should leave the prints? Minimur's little personal touches."

Idrissa chuckles softly and smiles, a slight nod seen while she looks at the boxes. "Why did you have to make them?" This questioned with a curious tone. As for Tahryth, that curious green dragon is now licking at the wet paint upon that crate.. When that happens the dragon grumbles out and rubs her head into the ground as if trying to get the bitter taste out. Rissa looks to her dragon and just eyes her a few moments. "Really.. That was your plan all along?"

Kera watches the dragon curiously as the green eases forward and licks the wet crate, nevermind she'll have to do that side again. It's almost worth it to see the dragon's reaction. Looking to Idrissa, she winces "I did try to warn her." A hint of a shrug is offered. "Long story short, I was looking for something in the stores. Those boxes are so tightly packed on the shelves that I needed to drop a couple down onto the floor so I could have room to search the upper boxes…" Kera pauses and peers around the clearing and chewing on her bottom lip "Well, it seems I almost squished the Headwoman when I dropped a box. So she said I had to make new ones." She brandishes her injured fingers "Turns out, I'm not a very good carpenter." Peering back to the green curiously "So, what about you two?…Is paint licking normal dragon bahavior?"

Idrissa smiles and nods a moment. "Yeah I know.. Tahryth gets warned by a lot of things when she shouldn't lick something." There is a pause as she thinks of this. "Not that it seem to matter.." A soft sigh escapes her while she moves over, pulling a rag out and works on getting the purple paint off her dragon's nose while Tahryth is drooling. "Well at least no one got hurt right?" A glance is offered to Kera to eye the others injured fingers, a slight ouch escapes her. "Yeah I bet it didn't feel to good.."

Kera snorts to Idrissa as Minimur wiggles free and cavorts happily overhead, winging this way and that as she shows off his cool new look. "Yea, no one got hurt, we'll go with that one." Nevermind her own smushed digits. Watching as Idrissa tries to swipe the paint off Tahryth's snout. Returning to her task, and taking the paintbrushing in hand once more, she loads it with paint then goes to touch up the licked crate. Swish, swish, swish, dab the inner corner and…done. "So now ya know why I'm doing another punishment, how are things with you and Tahryth?"

Idrissa hums softly and nods while she glances back to Kera, a soft chuckle escapes her. "I use to know a wood crafter, not anymore.." She hasn't seen Datsun in a rather long time. "We've been well, busy with deliveries and the like." A bagis pulled up to show it. "Did mail stuff today."

Kera smiles and glances to the bag. "Oh, do you know if there is anything for me from Rubicon Hold?" Stepping along the row of crates, she touches up and spots that don't look right to her. Eyeing them each, before dropping the brush back onto the paint bucket. "Gotta wait for them to dry before adding another coat." Peering back to IDrissa, she considers then shakes her head a little "Hmm, Don't think I anyone named Datsun. Is he still posted at Xanadu?"

Idrissa ohs and she ponders and looks into her mail bag, looking through a few things before coming up with a letter.. "Here, guess there was." She chuckles softly. "I truthfully didn't pay much attention to it. I take it in and let the rest deal with who gets what, they give me ones to deliver and then I'm on my way." Works out right? "I dono if his still around or not. Haven't seen him for a while actually."

Kera grins and quickly swipes here hand on the old tunic she's wearing then accepts the letter. "Thank you Idrissa." Stuffing the letter in her pouch to read later, "I guess that can be exciting huh? Going differant places from day to day like that?" Scratching her cheek briefly, she glances up to watch Minimur play aerial games with other lizards. "Hmm, well, you could probably check with the craft complex. If he is around, they should know where."

Idrissa smiles and nods. "Yeah it is rather exciting, especially when Tahryth isn't busy licking at everything.." The green snorts slightly while she shifts and starts to move off. "I had thought about it a few times, but really it's alright." There is a slight pause. "I need to get these on inside as I have someplace I need to be tonight.. I'll see you around Kera." This said with a smile and wave sent towards the girl before she is heading inside.
