Goldrider

Being a goldrider at Xanadu Weyr may or may not be like doing so anywhere else. The following are a list of important facts to know before applying for gold at Xanadu.

• Being a goldrider does not automatically force you to be on staff; however you are encouraged to do so, as well as to volunteer for SearchCO.
• The dam of a PC clutch will be randomly chosen from the active goldriders, with preference going to those who have not yet had an on-camera, PC clutch. There is no guarantee that the first clutch after your Impression will be yours to lead.
• A junior may pick their own winner of their flight, though the senior may offer suggestions based on activity. However, it is expected that the junior will follow the rules of the MUSH in doing so.
• The dam of the PC clutch is to be considered Search Lead. It is their responsibility to advertise, schedule events (flight, clutching, hatching), to communicate with both the SearchCO and candidates about deadlines and other requirements.
• The egg theme is the choice of the dam, though it is suggested that possibly themes be posed to SearchCO to be voted on.
• It is the Search Lead's choice to determine the means of Impression choices, whether it is by voting or through random selection.
• The Senior and Weyrleader retain the right of veto, in the case of gold-votes, and will be the final say when it comes to the number of Impressions. They will also be the ones responsible for setting color and name details on the eggs.
• Instagolds and transfers are considered to have all the same privileges of Xanadu-Impressed golds, both for NPC and PC clutches.
