Logfile from Flandynn.

Yokohama - Bridge of Operations
From the lift, the main viewscreen dominates the wall seen directly across the way from it. Set above is an enormous observation window, which affords an amazing view of space and the planet below. There are many control consoles and chairs on the deck set before them, as well as a large open area just in front of the viewscreen. Centrally located in this expansive area is the Commanding Officer's chair. Three sets of steps ascend to the platform, which is set several meters above the deck. Other important stations line the upper platform, which extends both the port and starboard, each side ending a few meters short of the viewscreen.
People: Fl'ynn
Obvious exits:
Captain's Quarters <CQ> Lift <Lift>

The doors of the lift open.
Jeniosa emerges from the lift.
Jeniosa has arrived.

Eveningtime in the Yoko is mostly a human construct. Dimmer lights. That may be about it. Fl'ynn sits in one of the many chairs before some readout or another in the slightly dimmer room. A rather vacant room at that. He is at idle, sort of slumped back in his chair, one hand coming out so that dusky fingers can tap this thing and that, causing various other things to blink or beep or flash or make a chance on a readout.

The lift comes to a stop and out wanders a beastcraft-candidate, she's been exploring nonstop since arrival, everything is so new and interesting, she's totally in th wrong craft or something. Silver-blue eyes peek around the bridge, pausing briefly on the bluerider. "Hello Fl'ynn, Sir." She adds that Sir just in case, you know, someone might be watching. Then she moves over towards him. "Whatcha doin'?" Then she focuses on the big observation window, the best part about the bridge no doubt. "Whatcha think they're doing at the weyr right now?" She asks idly, eyes trailing over the planet's surface far below.

Fl'ynn drops his head back against the headrest of the chair, his dark hair falling away from dark eyes. Those very same eyes track to Jeniosa, provoking a faint smile to curve at the corners of his lips. "I'm… enjoying the view," he admits, his eyes sliding back over to the readouts and the image of Pern far below. "I think they are liking where they are at." A glance back to her. "First time?"

Jeniosa blushes a little, "Can you tell? It's neat though. I'm not very good with the zero gravity though." She giggles. "It's a good thing they have the gravity on everywhere else." Or she'd probably be drifting aimlessly. "My cousin Ur'yu went to the Deluge, and he was sick the whole time because of the lack of gravity or something. I wasn't there, though, that was the candidacy I missed at Eastern." She moves up next to the teen. "You come up here a lot?"

Fl'ynn shakes his head slowly from side to side, eyes still focused upon the scene without. "No. First time back since my candidacy, when it was my first time here. Who know some farm boy from Igen would get to see something like this… touch things like these?" And so, he flicks a switch, that sets off an alarm. FLASHING LIGHT. He comes alive awfully quick, sitting up and hurridly switching on/off whatever he touched. Whoops. Flashing light stops. He chuckles, flopping back into his seat. "Anyway… but yeah, it is nice here."

Jeniosa squeaks a little at the flashing light, but at least she didn't push it. "Umm, don't think you were supposed to touch that." But at least he's quick enough to turn it back on/off, right? "I'm afraid to touch anything. I do like the big window though." She giggles a little. "Does Kagenaith like the no gravity?" She would settle on the arm of the bluerider's chair, but decides instead to settle into a chair nearby. "Do they bring all the candidates up here? I thought we'd be taken out to the forest or something, you know, kind of a survival camp, I hear other weyrs do that."

Fl'ynn breaks out into laughter at her query about the dragon. "Oh, you must have missed that. When I brought Matrin and Iforian here, it was Kagenaith's first time in zero-G. He, uhm… didn't do so well with it at all. He is still a little ifsy with the whole deal, better though. I think it messes with all of his instincts." He nudges his chair a little, causing it to swivel to the side so he can look to her. "I think this is a different take on that, your survival camp." He glances away from her, motioning to the view of Pern. "A different sort of view."

Jeniosa tries to imagine the poor blue in the zero-g, and giggles. "Wonder if he looked as silly as me, trying to control the direction I floated in." She rubs at her head briefly. "Smacked my head on something..not sure if it was the floor or the ceiling." A smile for the bluerider. "Wanna hear a secret? Something I heard a bluerider at Eastern saying?"

Fl'ynn shoots her another glance, a slow smile forming on his lips. "Oh, sorry I missed that. Might have been rather fun to see." Nope, not shy at all with that grin. Well, until she mentions hitting her head, earning a wince. "Not dizzy or anything now, are you?" That last part has him looking vague curious, head falling against the headrest once more, if at a tilt. "What is that?"

Jeniosa shakes her head at the question of whether she's dizzy or anything. "Naw, my head's just got a bit of a bump. I'm okay." Then she grins and leans forwrad in her chair so that her lips are right at his ear. "I heard my cousin and K'nan, I think that's her name, talking about the zero gravity, she said sex in zero-g was really fun." Then she pulls back with a giggle. "But I dunno how people'd manage, floating all over the place and all."

Fl'ynn's eyebrows go straight for his hairline at her remark. That was probably about the last thing he expected to hear, even from Jeniosa. In the next breath, he is bursting out laughing. You know, the honest kind that comes straight from the gut, pure enjoyed amusement. It takes him a few moments, but then the teen is pushing up from his seat, grinning across to her, dimples and all. "Oh wow. I didn't expect that. I like it, but I didn't expect it. Honestly, I have no clue either -as to how they'd manage."

Jeniosa giggles, "Well, K'nan is..interesting, I've heard. I've never really met her myself, but my cousin seems to like her. She's pregnant with his baby right now. Not a result of a space trip though, a result of his green's flight. So guess she's kinda like family now." Leaning back in her chair she grins. "Don't tell anyone I said that though, they'd get the wrong ideas or something." And then she turns her eyes back towards the layout of Pern below. "Wonder where Eastern is..and where Xanadu is." She's trying to make out familiar land shapes, but she's no mapper.

"Space baby… interesting," Fl'ynn muses, chuckling to himself. He blinks back over to her, grinning, "Now, it is a good thing I'm not the sort to try to blackmail you for my silence. But yes, your secret is perfectly safe with me." He offers her a wink before coming along behind her seat, hands moving down as if to rest on her shoulders, "Xanadu isn't so hard… look for the giant lake by Southern. As for Eastern… uhm, hrm. Good question."

Jeniosa giggles quietly at the space-baby thought. "Wonder if being conceived in space'd affect the baby any. Maybe it'd be born smarter or something." She's joking, really. "Blackmail me how? Could be fun." She giggles and blushes a little, looking to the planet below, well, look for the giant lake, right. "That's Xanadu right there?" She does point towards the area she believes to be her current home as she leans back in her chair a little, hey there's a cute bluerider above her back there.

"I wouldn't know how. Have never done it," Fl'ynn admits, honest boy that he is. "Yeah, that'd be Xanadu. I think you need to wait for the planet to turn some before you can see Eastern," he speaks softly. He waits a long moment then leans over, bestowing a kiss to the crown of her head, muttering, "I won't tell you to not stay up all night planet-watching, for I'm very guilty of that. Just don't fall asleep in these chairs. They aren't as comfortable as you think they are." Again, speaking from previous experience. "Have a good evening." With that he lets go, coming away from the back of her seat to start for the exit.

Jeniosa gets a head kiss, aww, of course a real kiss would've been better, but she grins. "Aww, all I get's a lil kiss to my head?" She tries to pout, really, but she can't manage it. "Are you staying up here or going back home? Because, you know, I might get a little lonely later." Okay, she's teasing a little. "I won't stay up too long, promise. Goodnight Fl'ynny." She giggles, she'll just claim that real kiss next time she sees him.

Fl'ynn pauses before heading out, grinning. "I'm a chaperone. I'm one of those people who is supposed to be making sure you all are being watched and monitored. I know, I'm as shocked as you. But yeah, I'm up here as long as you all are." He seems to pause for a moment, glance to the view, to her, and then he continues, "They got me in a spot right off to the left of the lift on the residence level. If you so feel the need to visit after planet-watching." He leaves on a whistled note.
