That's worked! :) I found that I could connect via my phone's mobile internet allowance (not quick enough to bother tethering), but I couldn't get my own wi-fi to connect on any device, so I can only assume that it's a (hopefully temporary) problem with that side of things. (I'm not even sure how many of you check the forum, but here goes)

I got disconnected in the middle of a scene last night (Wednesday) and wasn't able to reconnect. I thought maybe Pern was down again, but that wasn't the case because other people told me they were still connected and didn't have any lag. So.. I tried restarting my router, which didn't help. I was able and still am able to connect to all of my other worlds with no problem, but for whatever reason I can't get connected to Pern. I tried using the number address that's listed on the site (64.81.83.64) instead of pernworld.net. No go. I tried connecting via phone and iPad, no go. I even tried to get connected via telnet on some site and couldn't get through! I don't know what the problem is :( I checked the Pernworld Facebook page and saw that there was a small handful of other users that were having the same problem and getting the same error that I am

( #11004 ) Valid name, no data record of requested type.
Status: an error occured, check the help file for additional information.

I tried messing around with my firewall, making sure simpleMU wasn't blocked or the port number to Pern, and still nothing. I was hoping it was just a glitch last night but now it's a brand new day with the same problem. If any of you are tech-smart and know of anything I can try, please let me know. I'm not a member of the Facebook page but I'll keep an eye out on it to see if any of the people who are having the same problem get it fixed somehow.

If it continues for an extended amount of time, along with dying a little inside, I'll figure out something to do with Ka'el. Currently he's supposed to be at Black Rock just for a day and I can always backscene his return if needed or have something happen to him that'd keep him from returning on time and get Kanekith worked up. Rp fodder, maybe, for those who CAN connect! Hopefully this will be fixed by today!
