Firestone Practice

Since mid-winter when the first firestone and flamethrower decisions were announced, practice has started to take place, primarily in the Search & Rescue wing with volunteers from other wings attending. There's been some rumblings about it, some riders think the Weyrleader's gone off his rocker, even for using it for firefighting and don't understand why dragons should be breathing flame again at all. Of course, other than the stink and dealing with vomited ash a number of the riders actually doing the practices think it's a lot of fun to have a dragon who can flame and there are some odd, charred remains of things on the beach where some curious folks decided to see what other than straw targets would burn when flamed by dragon breath.
